Anna Quindlen’s editorial “The C Word in the Hallways”(1999), states that ignoring from parents and the public towards mental health issues are now lashing out in the form of violence. The author’s purpose is to make parents more aware of the severity and the outcomes from ignoring and or denying the fact that their kid has a mental health issue. The author has a candid and assertive tone and explains it all thoroughly. I agree personally with Quindlens argument because the problem starts in the home and the natural surroundings of the kid all while growing up.
